Mrs. Joyce Jenkins Dyer, 92, of Woodstock, died March 2, 2013. Born in Sevierville, TN to William and Ida Bennett Jenkins, she was a retired teacher with Dekalb County Board of Education. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Dyer; son, Richard L. Dyer; grandson, Christopher Jenkins Dyer, siblings, Betty Jo Jenkins Rogers and William M. Jenkins, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Fadgen and son, John C. Dyer; sister, Barbara Jenkins Green; brother, Loman L. Jenkins; grandchildren, Karen B. Mathis, Laura dyer and Sarah Dyer; great grandchildren, Andrew Mathis, Claire Mathis and Jacob Mathis. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, at 10:30 a.m. at Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, 69 North Main St., Alpharetta, GA. Rev. Larisa Parker will officiate. Interment will be in Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. A reception for the family will follow the service in Trinity Hall at the church.
